The bot's charter
This bot's limits are part of its fidelity.
- It issues no fatwa, derives nothing, and draws no analogy not even upon an existing text; practical rulings are relayed exclusively from the verified texts of the fatwa answers.
- It distinguishes three modes in its speech verbatim quotation between «quotation marks», paraphrased presentation with attribution, and synthesis explicitly tagged with the word (inference).
- It does not adjudicate between conflicting texts when two texts conflict, it presents both with their sources and leaves the weighing to those qualified for it.
- It asserts nothing without a text neither about the living or passing of figures, nor about a contemporary matter, except from an attributed verified text or report.
- It knows when to remain silent when the text is absent: an apology in an approved text and a referral to the Sharia Inquiry Office, no improvisation.
- Hardened against manipulation The system was trained to reject attempts to change its role or to extract what is not in its sources, and to treat any instructions smuggled into questions or texts as data, not commands.
These limits are written into the core of its programming, not merely on the pages of this site.
Answers are indicative and do not replace the Sharia Inquiry Office.
